How do I book a stay?

Bookings are made by completing The Farol Request Form under Reserve Your Retreat.  Alternatively, call us directly at 403-333-6797.

How many people can stay?

There is a king bed and a double bed for a maximum of 4 people.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Accepted Answer

Check-in and check-out are 100% self-serve. You can check-in at 3pm or anytime after and checkout is noon or anytime before. Guests will be given a unique door keypad code for the length of their stay.

Is someone available on-site if needed?

Yes, we are in the main house and here to make your stay easy and enjoyable.

How do we get to The Farol?

We’re located on Calgary’s famous Bow River.  Full location instructions are provided to registered guests only.

What is available for cooking?

This is Glamping at its finest, so there are no kitchen facilities.  There is a microwave and mini-fridge for leftovers after you have dined at Calgary’s best restaurants.  Use the dish bin for your dirty dishes and we will swap out any dishware needed.  There are fire roasting sticks for the fire pit if you want to cook your own hotdogs or s'mores.

Can I order food delivery?

By all means!  To ensure guest privacy please do not share your unique gate code with the delivery driver. Instead arrange to pick your delivery at the street or the main house.

Are pets and children allowed?

Unfortunately, we are not set up for pets and children so leave your littles behind.

Can we see the Northern Lights?

Yes!  We are blessed with the Aurora Borealis in all seasons.  Various apps and websites give guests a heads up on best dates and times to enjoy natures spectacular show.

Can I have a camp fire?

Definitely!  There is firewood in the wood rack and starter/lighter in the deck bin basket.  Please extinguish the fire completely before leaving the area.  Check the Calgary Fire Bans and Advisories Bulletin for current updates.

Do you have WiFi and TV?

There is WiFi on site and no television.

Are you open in the winter?

Absolutely!  We are open year-round.  The buildings are heated and an electric fireplace gives cozy ambiance any time of year.

Can I smoke?

Smoking and vaping are not permitted within the buildings.  You may smoke outside.
Please use the cigarette receptacles located in the riverside deck bin.
